Compartmentalisation of buildings incorporates passive fire protection measures such as cavity barriers, dampers and seals and dividing walls and floors into ‘compartments’ to contain smoke and fire as required by the building regulations. This is applicable to all buildings as a result of disruptive installations or degradation and/or where outdated or non-compliant fire protection measures exits. A fire compartmentation and firestopping survey involves identifying all issues that may compromise compartmentation within the building and recommending adequate fire stopping system measures to reduce the risks.
At Focusfire Ltd, our certified and trained experts carry out comprehensive surveys and provide bespoke and concise reports for the remedial works and then after, the clients can work with the firestopping contractors to rectify them.
